What’s going on
On Oct 15, 2026, the FBI warned that scammers are using the 2026 midterms to steal money and personal details. In one scheme, a text or email says you aren't registered to vote and links to a fake state registration page that collects information for identity theft. The FBI also flags fake PACs that keep donations and campaign investment pools that promise a payout. Donations aren't investments and won't grow.
